Hi, I am struggling and need to ask for help. Right now there is a combined 166 dollars in my checking and savings. Rent is due in a week. My payday reflects that of December 12 to January 13. That includes two weeks off for school over Christmas. My paycheck is for 750 dollars on the 30th. Apple chip sales have been way down since Christmas ended. Last time we gathered, I put up an ask for sales and made about 130 dollars. That was awesome. Thank you. I split my 1,400 rent with one person, and that person is likely moving into their apartment at Gloria Ridge in the beginning of March. When that happens, I am having to pay the full amount until I can get a roommate or two, and I am picky about who I live with. I've been offered a safety net, but it comes out of someone's modest retirement, and I don't want to rely on that. I have well over a hundred bags of apple chips, and a really great project that with community support, can be a full time source of income for me to lean on and develop professionally. I am available for tech support and cooking gigs, but would also help you with either of those things for free, too. I actually have this vision for an event showcase and dinner. Block out a date to reserve the fellowship hall and kitchen. Plan a custom five course menu, and have a sliding scale ticket. Can come for free, and/or do pay-it-forward tickets. During If there is a material thing that would make my life more awesome right now, it would be a high performance bicycle. Maybe help getting a helmet, bike light, reflective vest, and a bike lock, too. I am completely reliant on carpooling and public transit to get to work and back. With a bike, I can take the first half of the trip from my house on public transit, and ride the remaining 5 miles or so. Or on the way back, the first stretch to the bus station. At this point, it's still light out for a good hour after I get off work. I only want to do this one or two days of the week, when the weather is above 35, and there is no ice or precipitation. I still have my carpooling network, and can use that, but feel it's more sustainable to do that for 2-3 days whenever someone is available.
