In the spirit of asking for what we need and want boldly and unapologetically. What I want for this year is to share my work with others, and put up a wishlist. I have no expectations.

Some things to know about me. I wear a few different hats. I am a part time teacher. I am active in my local free meal programs and homeless community. I also went back to community college to learn web development to make tools that can help others. I don’t make much money, hardly enough to pay the bills, but I am putting out a bold wish list and trusting in the universe and in my greater community and the internet.Β

Wishlist

    • External Hard Drive (for security purposes, unused) - I would like to back up all my work not on the cloud, and not on a thumb drive
    • Shotgun Microphone, Lapelle Microphone, Microphone stand - Looking to make more video and audio based online content, and want to have decent equipment on hand.
    • Printing Support - I don’t print much, but the amount I do, it’s not worth having a personal printer. I just want a personal connection opportunity to stop by and say hi to someone to print out some pages here and there close to where I live. If I need to do bulk printing, I will likely do so through a print shop, not someone’s personal printer.
    • Art Supplies - I am not into Arts and Crafts, but my students are. This would be for afterschool extracurricular programs and Summer camp, not back to school related.
    • Bag of Rice - I go through a lot of rice. I generally buy 10 or 20 lb bag at a time. Just a nice thing that makes my life a little easier.
    • Pantry Wishlist - Here’s a link to my kitchen and pantry wishlist. I’m always into gifts of ingredients and food items.
    • Treat me to dinner / buy me takeout / take me out for a store run - Being treated to food, or cooking with people, or cooking for people, is almost always something I enjoy if I have the time and space for it.
    • Cash - Not above receiving gifts of money. I work a part time teaching job and it kicks my butt. I live on less than somebody makes off SSI. Being able to catch up on bills and get groceries that month is something wonderful.
    • Music Lessons - Piano or Mandolin - I am getting really into my music self-education. I’d like to spend some time learning from people who know much more than me about playing, sight reading, and technique.
    • Used Cars - I know of three community members whose life would change for the better if they were to have a car. For more information reach me privately.
    • Sleeper and Work Van - Would make travel accessible to me, and more work opportunities. It would be insurance if I lost my housing, that I and my pets would be okay.
    • Medical fundraising: I sponsor a refugee who is a gay man from Uganda, living in Nairobi. I send him about 80 dollars every month to cover rent and groceries. He had to have an appendectomy to save his life earlier this year. It cost about 1,400 dollars in Nairobi and he had to offer his refugee resettlement documents as collateral. LGBT Rainbow Refugees need to be safeguarded and protected especially in this region of the world. Resettlement is costly. We have half of the medical costs paid for. I'd like to put together a sum of money to send him to help pay off some of the remaining balance. Make a donation one time to my Ko-Fi or Paypal with a note for refugee apendectomy. I do have receipts, I have known this person online since 2021, please don't accuse them of being a scammer to me I don't want to hear it. i am also connected to several trans women who live in Nairobi and a handful of other refugees who are living day to day in high persecution and poverty.

If you have any of these items and need to coordinate or contact me, please email me at applechipkitchen@gmail.com and include 'Wishlist' in the subject line.
